Rajkumar a former Rotary governor 50 years back with a mission to provide quality healthcare and education to the society.
The college and hospital are being managed by Dr.N.R.T.R. Thiagarajan. MD,who is a Tamil Nadu medical council member, Tamilnadu nursing council member IMA Tamil Nadu state finance secretary, Theni district red cross chairman, and Dr B. Manga M.D (Ob&Gyn) Obstetrics consultant. Our family has strived for 3 generations in service to public and community and 50 years of unblemished service in the medical field .We are committed to provide excellent high quality complete health care and education cost effectively. Dr NRTR.Thiagarajan has been awarded the best doctor award in leadership category by IMA TAMILNADU STATE in 2019 and NRT hospital 150 bedded multispeciality hospital NABH Certified has received the Best Hospital award from the Tamilnadu state government in 2019.
The college campus is situated on the Kumuli-Madurai highway just 500 metres away from the Theni government medical college. It has 12 acres of lush green environment with spacious classroom, comfortable desks with audio visual aids . Our fundamental lab ,medical surgical lab, community lab, anatomy and physiology lab , Nutrition lab, computer lab, are all state of the art with more than 10 mannequins to demonstrate all procedures. The mess building and kitchen have modern hygiene steam cooking machines and utensils, spacious dining room with nice dining tables and chairs. RO plants have been installed in all buildings separately for drinking water. The hostel consisting of well ventilated spacious rooms with good elegant furniture and separate washing area, playgrounds for kho-kho, basketball, volleyball, shuttle cork, Throw ball, kabadi and indoor games [table tennis ,carom, chess].
We have five buses to transport for community and clinical training. We have well experienced faculty to teach and guide in skillful training in clinical setup with more than 20 senior doctors as a visiting faculty for all specialties. We provide clinical training in our own hospital NRT hospital which is a 300 bedded NABH accredited hospital with cardiothoracic theatre ,cath lab,20 dialysis machines, 3 fully equipped operation theatre and 15 bedded critical care unit. We also provide specialized training in Bodi and Periyakulam government hospital and community level training in our own rural community health centre and government PHC and sub centers.
